Pride of Cajunland Band
July 2010-Present
In July of 2010, Andre accepted a position to teach percussion for the New Iberia Senior High School (NISH) Pride of Cajunland Band. There he provides instruction in music theory, technical skills, and performance. Andre prepares an individualized curriculum for each student and ensemble. He takes pride in effectively communicating with his students and their parents to provide them with challenges and room for growth.
NISH Indoor Marching Percussion
July 2010-Present
Andre currently works as the percussion instructor for the Pride of Cajunland Band and the NISH Indoor Marching Percussion. His expertise has helped the section earn Second Best Overall Percussion at the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands. They have also finished in the Top 10 from 2011-2015.
Bunk Johnson Creative Arts Academy
March 2022-Present
The Bunk Johnson Creative Arts Academy is a place where musicians benefit from individual attention, numerous performance opportunities, and exceptional peer mentoring. Students have access to private lessons as well as ensemble experience to prepare them for future study in music. This opportunity allows students to refine fundamental playing technique and ensemble skills. Students also perform for the public to demonstrate their progress.
